This package combines a private walk with a painting session, so you learn about azulejos before making one. It lasts around two and a half hours in total and starts with a guided stroll through Graça.
After the walk you paint one tile by hand at the atelier with mineral pigments, then leave it to be kiln-fired overnight for collection the next day.
The first ninety minutes are a private tour, run with a partner guide, past the tiled façades and viewpoints of the neighbourhood. The route finishes at the workshop door, where a drink awaits and the one-hour painting session begins.
Visitors who like to understand the craft's history first, and small private groups or couples.
The tour is private by design. Larger groups should contact the studio before booking. Prices are per person.
