Overview

This gold decoration workshop in Paris takes place on the last Saturday of each month, from 2pm to 5pm, in a glass-roofed studio in the 11th arrondissement. It is open to all levels from age 12.

What you'll make

Porcelain tableware decorated with gold. You can choose two second-hand plates found around France by the studio, or bring as many pieces of your own porcelain as you wish.

How the session runs

The first hour is for drawing and developing the pattern you want to use. The next two hours are for applying the gold with a pen. The studio fires your pieces within 24 hours, so you can collect them the next day, or pay extra to have them posted if you live outside Paris. The studio suggests a Paris porcelain shop for finding suitable pieces to bring.
