Booking & payment questions
How do I book a class?
Open the class you like, pick a session, and choose how many places you need. The booking screen shows the price per person and the total before you send anything. Your request goes straight to the studio or instructor who runs the class, and they confirm your places.
Does Workshopola add booking or service fees?
No. The price you see is the price you pay. We never add a per-booking surcharge on top of the host's price, and using the site is free. Our costs are covered by a commission the host agrees to, not by a fee passed on to you.
When do I pay?
Nothing is charged when you send a booking request. Once the host confirms your places you receive the payment details for that booking, with the amount and timing stated before you pay.
Which currencies can I pay in?
You pay in the currency the host has set for the class, usually the local currency of the city it runs in. You can choose the currency prices are displayed in from the menu at the top of the page; prices in another currency are marked ≈ and converted at the day's reference rate, as a guide. The class page and your booking request always show the host's own price too. If the host's currency differs from your card's, your bank or card provider handles the conversion at their rate on the day.
How do I know my booking is confirmed?
When the host accepts your request you receive an email with the class, date, time, address and number of places. If you have an account, the booking also appears there so you can find it again.
