What you do

Block printing is one of the oldest ways to pattern fabric, and one of the most satisfying. The host shows you how to design a simple motif and carve it into a soft lino or rubber block, or choose from ready-made wooden blocks, then how to ink the block evenly and press it onto fabric. You plan a repeat pattern, test it on paper and print a tote bag, a tea towel or a cushion cover. Each print comes out a little different, which is the charm.

What you take home

Your printed tote bag or tea towel, and the block you carved.

Who it suits

Teams of any size, new-joiner welcomes and festive gifting. Design a team pattern together, or let everyone print their own.
