What you do

The baking is done before you arrive, so the whole session is about the fun part. A cake decorator shows you how to fill and crumb-coat a cake, get smooth sides with a scraper and pipe borders, rosettes and buttercream flowers with different nozzles. Some classes focus on cupcakes, others on a layer cake or seasonal designs. You practise on boards first, then decorate your own, and the host is on hand to rescue a lopsided swirl.

What you take home

Your decorated cake or a box of cupcakes, and piping skills for every birthday to come.

Who it suits

Teams with a sweet tooth, celebrations and anyone who likes a creative challenge with a delicious result. Easy to bring to an office.
