What you do

A terrarium is a small garden under glass, and it is built in layers. The host explains drainage, charcoal and soil, then helps you choose plants that suit the terrarium you are making, from humid moss and ferns in a closed jar to succulents in an open bowl. You plant with long tweezers and spoons, add stones, sand and tiny details, and learn how to water it, which is hardly ever.

What you take home

Your terrarium, a care card and a desk plant that is very hard to kill.

Who it suits

Wellbeing weeks, new-joiner welcomes and teams who would like something green on every desk. Hosts can set up in an office or event space.
