What you do

Winter is wreath season, but the craft works all year with dried flowers and grasses. The host gives you a frame or a moss base and a table full of materials: fir, eucalyptus, ivy, pine cones, dried oranges, seed heads and ribbon. You learn to make small bunches and wire them on in overlapping layers so the wreath looks full from every angle, then add decorations and a hanging loop. Mince pies or warm drinks often appear at December sessions.

What you take home

A finished wreath for the front door or the office, made to last the season.
