What you'll do

Overview

This life drawing workshop lasts two hours and is built around groups of eight or more. It combines a short art-history talk with a hands-on session drawing or painting a live model.

What you'll make

A drawing or painting from life. Materials and supplies are provided, so you simply arrive and start.

How the session runs

The instructor opens with a short talk on the tradition of live art, with examples of realist and impressionist approaches, and demonstrates a few techniques such as suggesting scale and movement. A nude model then poses for one hour while the group draws. A welcome drink, beer, wine or a soft drink, is included.

Who it's for

Complete beginners and people with some experience. It is popular for hen and bachelor celebrations, friends' evenings and creative team events. Please note the model is nude, so it is aimed at adult groups.
